This article goes into great detail about how teachers
should comment on student’s rough drafts. I think that this is an important
factor to look at when it comes to writing. Most students have an anxiety of
writing and other just simply do not like writing. There are many students who
do not use rough drafts, they just write one paper and that is it. With
students have the confidence to write and review papers; they would be able to
write better papers. With teachers giving students good comments on the
revision process and what should be revised or changed, students would be able
to write a much better paper and may be able to include things that they would
not have thought of previously. I found this article to be very interesting,
because as I was reading along I agreed with most things that were said in this
article and agreed with the ways to change or better these problems. If
teachers expect great revised papers, they should be able to good feedback on
the students papers, so that the student can clearly understand what should be
changed or looked at again. If the teachers are better trained and begin to do
this, I am sure that it will benefit many students and students will become better
writers.
